Remai Modern in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Opened in 2017, Remai Modern is a contemporary art gallery and museum located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. With over 8000 works in its permanent collection, Remai Modern includes the collection from the former Mendel Art Gallery, work from numerous Canadian and International artists, as well as several hundred linocuts and ceramics from Pablo Picasso. 

Located within River Landing, a new development in downtown Saskatoon, Remai Modern has been celebrated for its architecture. Taking inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style, the copper patina of the gallery was also influenced by the nearby landmark Bessborough Hotel.

Eastern Columbia Building in DTLA

Completed and opened in 1930, the Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles, California is one of the greatest surviving examples of Art Deco architecture in the city. Located along Broadway in the city's historic theater district, the Eastern Columbia Building is noted for its unmistakable turquoise tiled exterior. Originally housing the Eastern and Columbia department stores, in the mid-2000s the building was restored and converted into loft apartments.
