Built for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the Richmond Olympic Oval in British Columbia is currently a multi-sport arena and showcase of Canadian Olympic history. Originally built to host the speeding skating events at the Vancouver Olympics, the venue has since been reconfigured to house hockey rinks, basketball courts, workout facilities, and the Richmond Olympic Experience.

Opened in 1914, the Bassano Dam in Alberta is part of the Eastern Irrigation District where water is diverted from the Bow River to feed numerous canals and reservoirs. The construction of the dam was a massive undertaking and provides irrigation for roughly 1.5 million acres.
