This last weekend involved good food, drinks, and even better company. My friends and I stayed at the landmark Fairmont Palliser, which provided me with another opportunity to capture some random downtown Calgary, Alberta visuals as we explored.
While I'm no stranger to Calgary, this reunion inspired a lot of potential Instagram material thanks to the variety of locations we visited. This probably sounds funny or trite to some, but as a professional travel photographer it's become one of my biggest points of contact for new clients around North America this year. Here are just a few of the random snapshots.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea. You can't help but think about oil when you think about Texas, and right in the heart of the Permian Basin you'll find the cities of Midland and Odessa in a sea of pumpjacks and drilling operations. With a little bit of exploring you'll even find a handful of vintage oil derricks around. These are some iconic Texas visuals.
As a big fan of Home Alone, it was only fitting to run through the American Airlines wing of O'Hare International while in Chicago, Illinois. American Airlines was actually one of the film's sponsors, hence the brand recognition in the movie. While there's not really much to see here, it's still fun being in familiar spots like this and feeling like you're crossing paths with pop culture.
