Mickey Mouse in his holiday sweater, a gigantic decorated tree towering over Main Street, and twinkling lights everywhere you look. If there's one thing that can make "The Happiest Place on Earth" even happier, it's when Christmas comes to Disneyland.
From Christmas parades and live music to iconic rides and even a custom set of Mickey Mouse ears, Disneyland makes you feel like a kid again regardless of your age. The Christmas crowds are large, but a quick dash to Disney California Adventure keeps spirits high. All is merry and bright in a cartoon world brought to life by pirates, stormtroopers, flying elephants, spinning teacups, and a friendly mouse who looked right at me and waved.
Last night The Trews were in Medicine Hat, Alberta to perform at the Canalta Centre. It's always a pleasure to photograph a great Canadian band, especially when it's one that I've been listening to for well over a decade. The open floor concept was also a nice shift at Canalta and I found myself capturing a lot more variety than I usually can when I'm in the pit.
