Fireworks are pretty awesome, and Canada Day is the perfect time to see them. Last year I photographed the fireworks over the Saamis Teepee in my hometown of Medicine Hat, Alberta. The post was a hit and attracted thousands of viewers. This year I wanted to switch it up slightly, and focused on capturing some video of the experience. Here is a short video of the Canada Day fireworks over Medicine Hat, Alberta's most recognizable landmark.

Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria, British Columbia
Floating homes, shops, food vendors, and even a seal or two, make Fisherman's Wharf a cool place to visit in Victoria's Inner Harbour. I grabbed my camera, hopped on the harbour ferry, and started wandering. The unique character of the area is accented by the steady stream of people exploring the water's edge, giving Fisherman's Wharf a distinct local vibe.

North Head Lighthouse, Washington Coast
Lighthouses are pretty amazing to me, and the North Head Lighthouse at Cape Disappointment near Illwaco, Washington was no exception. Mike and I had stopped here on a previous road trip in 2013, however this time we were spanning the entire Pacific Coast and were expecting to see a few more lighthouses along the PCH. We explored the interior of the North Head Lighthouse, hiked the surrounding cliffs and watched some massive waves come crashing in. Places like this are what exploring the Pacific Northwest is all about.
