On the morning of December 7, 1941, beginning at 7:48am Hawaiian time, the Japanese launched their surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The resulting battle significantly compromised the American Pacific Fleet and directly lead to the United States entering World War II.

Today this history still resonates in Pearl Harbor and throughout Hawaii. On a trip to Oahu this year I photographed some of the notable landmarks around this iconic naval base including the USS Bowfin Submarine, the Pacific Aviation Museum, the USS Missouri Battleship, and of course, the USS Arizona Memorial. The following images are highlights from my Aloha Hawaii photography series focused specifically on Pearl Harbor.
A collection of images featuring the Saamis Teepee (AKA the World's Largest Teepee) in Medicine Hat, Alberta. These are highlights from my Around the Hat photography series.
On the road home we traded coastal breezes for streams of neon on a glittery desert strip. We'd made it to Las Vegas, Nevada. With only one night in Sin City we were determined to make the most of it, and for us that meant staying somewhere with one of the best views in town.

My friend Mike and I got ourselves an upgraded room at Paris Las Vegas. We ended up on the 25th floor of the hotel with the Eiffel Tower, Bellagio Fountains, and the Las Vegas Strip directly in front of us. The views of Las Vegas don't get much more iconic than this. Explore PART 2 here.
