Canmore, Alberta
Through Kananaskis and on my way to Banff National Park, Canmore was really just a brief stop on my road trip through Alberta's Rocky Mountains. I did check out the Policemen's Creek boardwalk, explored the historic North West Mounted Police Barracks and walked along Main Street. Of course, the best part was just enjoying all of the stunning scenery, especially the beautiful views from along the Bow River.

Muttart Conservatory Interior: Part 1
Earlier this summer I explored the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta. Not being all that familiar with Edmonton, this was one landmark I was quite curious about. I photographed the vibrantly lit glass pyramids of the exterior during the evening, and then returned in the daylight to wander through the gardens.

The Muttart Conservatory features a stunning array of plant life divided into several different climate zones, each in its own pyramid. I loved capturing all of the incredible colours and textures on display, and found it to be a great place to collect my thoughts and reflect on the week I had just spent driving the length of the Alberta Rockies.
