The view at Lake Louise in Banff National Park is arguably one of the most iconic shots in the Rocky Mountains. I had a lot of fun people watching here as everyone was after the perfect shot - myself included. Who could blame us? You only need to open your eyes to see why Lake Louise, Alberta is so popular.
Last weekend our family spent the night in Rosebud, Alberta for dinner and a show at the Rosebud Theatre. The Rosebud School of the Arts is located here, and they put on original productions year round. We stayed at the Rosebud Inn, a picturesque bed and breakfast overlooking the river valley. Here are a few visual highlights from our stay in this beautiful little community.
If you're looking for an incredible drive, the Red Rock Parkway in Waterton Lakes National Park is where it's at. A winding road with stunning mountain vistas leads you to the aptly named, Red Rock Canyon. Once there, there's a beautiful trail to take in more of the stunning views and maybe even see some wildlife.
It was on the road to Red Rock Canyon that I saw my first bear of the road trip. He walked out of the bushes right behind my car and was gone almost as quickly as he appeared. I managed to snap a few pictures through my sunroof though.
