It turns out that the Ferrari wasn't destroyed after all . . . except that the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off wasn't a real Ferrari to begin with. A real 1963 Modena Spyder Ferrari would have cost around $300,000 so John Hughes decided to use several replicas instead. This replica is on display at Cars of the Big & Small Screen at Heritage Park in Calgary, Alberta and Ferrari or not, it's still a beauty - so choice!
The General Lee from television's the Dukes of Hazzard is an iconic vehicle, and a beautiful example of American muscle. It's one of those cars that I can't help but love because as a kid it made me believe that ramping off of anything was possible. This Dodge Charger is currently on display at Cars of the Big & Small Screen at Heritage Park in Calgary, Alberta and is part of their 50th anniversary celebrations. Last week I had the pleasure of checking out the latest offerings from Jaguar at the Calgary International Auto Show. As you'd expect there was plenty of automotive eye-candy on display, and as a former Jaguar owner and avid fan of the brand it proved to be the perfect place to start my tour. From the new Jaguar F-Type sports car to the top of the line Jaguar XJL sedan, I don't think a smile left my face until I remembered I wouldn't be taking one home.
I did embrace the opportunity to get behind the wheel of most of the Jaguars at the show, and much like I did in 2012, I left with a decent collection of Jag swag. Stay tuned for even more of my photography from the 2014 Calgary Auto Show, but I figured I'd kick things off as I experienced them - surrounded by Jags.
