This non-denominational holiday greeting from NBC's Community had me laughing a lot this Christmas season. Religious or not, Christmas is a time for friends, family, togetherness, and well wishes. Everyone should feel welcome to spread as much cheer as possible, and not be offended that others may say something different. All kindness should be embraced. From me to you, have a brilliant, cheerful, and merry Christmas!

City Hall at Christmas
After my Christmas snapshots around downtown last year, I wanted to return to feature the lights and decorations at city hall. I love the lights they have wrapped around the trees, and I had fun creating colourful light streams by shooting long exposures of the various displays. The tree in Riverside Park was also really nice. I found it to be a pretty scenic setting to get in the mood for Christmas.

Military Micro Machines
What are the holidays without a few toys? I felt inspired to pull out some of my old military Micro Machines after the popularity of my Star Wars micros post. There were few toys that my friends and I played with as often as these, and half of the fun was just provoking one another to attack and the following debates about who shot who. For several consecutive Christmases and birthdays, Micro Machines were always at the top of my wish list. As it turned out, it was a pretty good way to build a sizable collection.
