Located along the Trans Canada Highway in Walsh, Alberta just along the provincial border with Saskatchewan, I recall memories of stopping here for ice cream as a kid. The colourful red and yellow prairie motif has always made these buildings easy to spot from the road. They've been painted this way for as long as I can remember them.

Around the Hat Promo
With the summer winding down I'm starting to think about ways of archiving, displaying, and promoting my Around the Hat photo series. In addition to building galleries on flickr and considering the possibility of a photo book, I've added a page on my portfolio to showcase the project and all of the locations shot thus far.
I'm excited by the potential to utilize all of these photographs for other projects, especially as the collection continues to grow. Here's a brief promo/slideshow I put together to highlight just a few of my favorite images since this all of this kicked off in March of this year.
