Sean Quigley - Little Drummer Boy

This music video from fellow Canuck, Sean Quigley has been getting some national attention on various news stations.  It's a well shot and edited video and features a catchy cover of a popular Christmas song to boot.  It's always fun seeing people close to home get noticed.  From Winnipeg, Manitoba here's the little drummer boy.

Deck the Loft 2011

Christmas is only weeks away, and while I've barely begun shopping my place has been fully decked out for weeks.  I love this time of year.  The decorations and lights just make everything look so warm and inviting.  The real bright spot is that I'll actually get to enjoy them a lot more this year as I've finally gone out of my way to take holidays between Christmas and New Years.  So, fa la la la la to that!  

Along the South Saskatchewan River

With our family boating trip along the South Saskatchewan River this past summer, I went into detail about how the day didn't exactly turn out as planned and shared some of the video I shot. What did turn out better than expected was some of the photography I was able to shoot.  

From our time on the river to our time exploring the prairie and hanging out at the ranch, I shot all kinds of classic Alberta imagery. Of those images I've singled out some of my favorite detail shots and shared them below. It's funny how ordinary some of the scenery you see everyday looks until you're in a situation that gives you an outsiders perspective.
