Bradbury Building, Los Angeles: Part 1

Constructed in 1893, the Bradbury Building on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles was commissioned by gold mining millionaire Lewis L. Bradbury. While the exterior of the building is rather unassuming, the interior is what makes the structure an architectural landmark. 

Exposed staircases and elevators, ornate wrought iron railings, polished wood and marble, and a massive skylight overhead all combine to make a strong impression. As a result, the Bradbury has been featured in a variety of films over the years. One of the most notable is Ridley Scott's Blade Runner (1982) starring Harrison Ford. Film history aside, the Bradbury is an architectural marvel and one of Los Angeles' best preserved historical buildings.

Raine Maida & Chantal Kreviazuk: Moon vs. Sun

Last night these two amazing Canadian musicians were in Medicine Hat, Alberta to put on a concert at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre. Moon vs. Sun featuring Raine Maida (front man of Our Lady Peace) and Chantal Kreviazuk is a collaboration between this incredible couple that highlights hits from their individual careers and material that they've written together. 

The show was amazing! From Innocent to Feels Like Home to an encore of Superman's Dead, the arrangements made the songs seem new again. Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk's performance of I Love It When You Beg was the perfect ending to the night and proved that these two still have a lot left to share - as though there was any doubt. All around it was a lot of fun.

Coos Bay Boardwalk in Oregon

We woke up in Coos Bay, Oregon after arriving late the night before. Having covered a substantial part of the Oregon coast, we decided to take a break and go wander around the Coos Bay Boardwalk. This is exactly the kind of small town scenery you imagine when road tripping the Pacific. I ended up with some nice shots for my Pacific Northwest series.
