The mid-century aesthetic of the TWA Hotel at JFK in New York City is an attraction in itself, however when you add in the novelty of a runway view room it becomes pretty easy to lose yourself in the romance of the jet-setter lifestyle of the 1960s.
I already had the vintage TWA boarding pass and postcards for my travel shoots, but the room helped round things out with the vintage phone, copies of Life magazine, and a fully stocked bar that wouldn't look out of place in Mad Men. While it's worth noting that none of the rooms at the TWA Hotel come cheap - the stay is definitely an experience.
