Boro Hotel in Queens, New York City
With epic views of the Manhattan skyline, the Boro Hotel in Long Island City, Queens was exactly the kind of place I wanted to come back to after a long day of shoots. Never more than two subway stops from midtown, my stay at the Boro was motivated entirely by wanting to enjoy this view - an experience heightened (literally) by occupying one of their top floor corner suites. On a trip motivated by visuals, this was an incredible spot to wake up in New York City.

Original Starbucks at Pike Place Market in Seattle
Established in 1971, the Starbucks at Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington is where this modern day coffee giant opened its very first store. Often referred to as the Original Starbucks, this coffee shop is technically the second Starbucks location after the original store moved within Pike Place Market back in 1976. Maintaining a lot of the early character, like the original Starbucks logo in the window, there's just enough novelty here to justify a quick look.
