The Nozomi only stops in major cities (Yokohama, Nagoya and Kyoto) making it the fastest link between Tokyo Station and Shin-Osaka. Reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h, the N700 series of trains used on this line travel the 515 km between Tokyo and Osaka in just under two and a half hours. It's a really unique sensation to travel this speed so comfortably at ground level.
