Space Shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center
On display at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida, Space Shuttle Atlantis was the fourth space shuttle constructed. Its maiden flight took place in 1985 before it was retired in 2011 and went on permanent display in 2013. Not unlike seeing Space Shuttle Endeavour up close, it's pretty spellbinding to be in the same room as something that traveled more than 200 million km during its career. The multi-story angular display of Space Shuttle Atlantis also makes it one of the most dynamic NASA exhibits I've experienced.
