Hiking the Wild Pacific Trail on Vancouver Island
From massive waves and rugged beaches to abundant wildlife and incredible coastal views, the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet, British Columbia is a truly amazing part of Vancouver Island to explore. I spent several days in the area capturing imagery for my Pacific Northwest series and enjoyed the relative isolation that this beautiful stretch of coastline offered.
Hiking the Wild Pacific Trail was a highlight of my entire trip. There were moments where I found myself alone and completely lost in the experience. The continuous rumble of waves crashing on rocks was an epic soundtrack that made the hike even more invigorating. Here I was just a speck in the middle of something so big, so alive, and so picturesque. Sometimes everything just clicks, and moments like this become the fuel to drive countless other adventures.
