At the time of completion the "Husky Tower" was not only the tallest structure in Calgary, it was also the tallest structure of its kind in North America. Once completed, the Calgary Tower dominated Calgary's skyline, but it was eventually surpassed in height by the Petro-Canada Centre (now the Suncor Energy Centre) in 1983.
In addition to still boasting incredible views from the observation deck, visitors can also eat at Sky 360, a revolving restaurant at the top of the Tower. You can also test your nerves by walking on a glass floor that was added in 2005. Even after all these years the Calgary Tower is still a standout and worth exploring the next time you're in Calgary, Alberta.
