J.R. Louis at Twist Wine & Tapas

On Tuesday night I went to see J.R. Louis perform at Twist Wine & Tapas in downtown Medicine Hat, Alberta as part of the 2015 Tongue on the Post Folk Festival. I was in good company with my friend Brandie (of the Blogging Hatter) and together we enjoyed a few drinks, shot the breeze, and enjoyed the music. J.R. Louis did a great set and the intimate space in Twist really sold the experience. For me, it was a fun introduction to this year's folk fest.
