Wayne, Alberta is a former coal mining community just outside of Drumheller. With the exception of the Rosedeer Hotel and the Last Chance Saloon, there's not much left to see in this old ghost town. The last of the mines closed in the 1950s, but the surrounding badlands are still as scenic as ever and make for a nice stop when touring the Red Deer River Valley.
One the big developments in Medicine Hat this year has been the construction of a new wind farm along Box Springs Road. Shortly after the turbines became operational this summer, I thought it would be cool to capture a few images of the new Hat Smart project for my photo series.
