Frank Slide at Turtle Mountain
It was in 1903 that this rock slide from Turtle Mountain hit the town of Frank. If you've ever driven through the Crowsnest Pass in Alberta you'll have seen the massive boulders that cover the area, pretty much exactly as they did 110 years ago. We stopped at the interpretive centre to have a short look around before continuing south on our road trip. It's an amazing area, and the debris field is pretty staggering. Read more about the disaster here.
