This vintage postcard of downtown Medicine Hat, Alberta is the latest piece of local history to be added to my collection. Showing the corner of today's 2nd street and 6th avenue, this unused postcard is likely from between 1910 to 1920. On the right is the Canadian Bank of Commerce with the Cypress Club behind it. On the left is part of the now demolished post office, and across from that is what I've continued to refer to as the Tramps Block. There is also a sliver of the original city hall visible on the far right. I photographed this corner earlier this spring to compare and contrast.
