Bright lights, crowds, old cars, raffles, animals, rides, games, and the smell of deep fried dough in the air - this is the Stampede midway! I returned this year to capture a ton of pictures of Medicine Hat's Exhibition and Stampede, and had a lot of fun doing it. For the most part it was the same old midway, but I've never photographed it quite like this before. Few hometown locations scream summer as loudly as this.
Over the last couple of months I've had the pleasure of doing several projects around Medalta and with the Artists in Residence at the Shaw Centre. The facility is such an amazing place with so many creative people working on all kinds of different things. From watching the kiln firings, to shooting gift shop images, to producing the recent 3D printer video, these were some of the shots I took around the Shaw Centre between projects.
