After the last few days of rain it's been easy to get a bit mesmerized by the spectacle. Our office has a metal roof and what usually starts out as a few light pings soon turns into what sounds like rousing applause. I've always loved the rain, if only because it's a forced excuse to stay indoors and work on something. You feel less guilty because you're not wasting a warm day. It's also nice because for the next week or so the prairie will stay nice and green before the summer sun dries it out again. Of course, I have had more eventful rainy days like this one at Mount Rushmore or this one cruising down the South Saskatchewan or this one in Singapore.
