Red Rock Coulee in Southern Alberta
Giant spherical boulders in shades of red and orange define the otherworldly prairie landscape of the Red Rock Coulee Natural Area. Located 50km southwest of Medicine Hat, Alberta on Highway 887, these round sandstone formations naturally eroded from the softer bedrock and are believed to be among some of the largest examples in the world. Not only is the area a breathtakingly beautiful spot to explore, Red Rock Coulee is unlike anywhere else in Alberta.
